How is the Alternator Booster ( AB ) different from Volt Stabilisers ( VS ) like from Pivot?
AB works on the alternator, the source of electrical energy in the car whereas VS works on the battery, the electrical distributor. Both AB and VS helps reduce electrical noise & provide a stable voltage to the complex engine management ECU, ignition coils & all other electronic devices.
These electronics work at hyper speeds creating lots of electrical noise or interferences. This "noise" in turn goes back into the whole electrical system thus corrupting & degrading signals & processing. This slows down the ECU’s response and efficiency resulting in lethargic throttle response, poorer ICE quality, rougher idling etc. Therefore, it is impossible “clean” your car’s electrical system enough!
