Dyno Graph of Kia Rio 1.4L(A) Testing Results of Stock Unit before and after installing the Mythelogy Dampened & Lightened CrankPulley. Disclaimer: Results may vary from other engines and models.

From Road to RaceTrack MYTHELOGY was developed for standard cars but it excelled on track cars as well because it maintained vehicle speed.
What makes MYTHELOGY Dampened Crank Pulley unique?
1. Made from Aircraft Grade Aluminum Alloy with Hard Anodized Gold coating for Superior Abrasion & Corrosion Resistance. 2. Special Molding Embedded Dampener dampens engine Noise, Vibration & Harshness. 3. Thicker Mass to aid dampening and maintain Engine Speed Rotational Momentum. 4. Steel Bearing Insert adds Strength & Wear Resistance for Chain Driven Crankshaft.
MYTHELOGY dampened crank pulleys are Designed and Developed for the benefit of drivers wanting to add a bit of excitement to their cars without the drawbacks of other crank pulleys.
The Added Benefit When driven light footed, your benefits are less gear changes and better fuel economy. When driven heavy footed, your benefits are Quicker Acceleration, Better Low-Mid Range Power and Quicker Gear Changes for Automatics.
FAQ: IS IT THE SAME REMOVING CAR SEATS AND SPARE TIRE? Yes and No. Because it will be very uncomfortable for you and passengers. Recommended for track cars only.
WHY THE CRANK PULLEY AND NOT OTHER PULLEYS? Because the crank pulley is in direct fit to the crank shaft where all power is produced before any loss in friction or load from other components. It is similar to lightening the flywheel but much cheaper, easier and faster to change without wasting time at the workshop.
WILL IT BE EFFECTIVE IF I ALREADY HAVE OTHER MODIFICATIONS? For best results, MYTHELOGY dampened crank pulley works very well with modifications to the air intake and exhaust system. The pulley allows air to be drawn into combustion chamber much faster therefore a better intake system helps this. Similar with the exhaust system as it allows the combusted air and fuel to be drawn out effectively therefore maximizing the core functions of the dampened crank pulley.
IF IT’S SO EFFECTIVE WHY CAR MANUFACTURERS DO NOT INSTALL IT? As the matter of fact, they do use OEM lightened pulleys in certain special models like Mitsubishi Evo, Honda Integra and etc. Even the new Honda Odyssey uses a lighter version than before. Maybe due to cost constrains they are not applied to all models but are used in specific models to gain response and power. OEM specifications which means they are all Dampened.
WHY ARE OEM CRANK PULLEYS DAMPENED? This pre-dates back to when Rolls Royce applied it with great results and later on, many other car manufacturers followed suit. It provides a longer life-span to the crank bearings while preventing potential crank damage as well as helps reduced Noise, Vibration and Harshness.
